Decorium

From the valleys of Kashmir to the courts of Persia, the Paisley motif has journeyed far along the ancient spice routes, carrying with it the allure of the Orient. In Italian tradition, and especially in the north, these Eastern symbols were transformed into a language of pure elegance. The medallions of Persian carpets, the Ottoman arabesques, the stylised blossoms of Chinese silks all passed through Italian looms and emerged transfigured: lighter, more attuned to Western sensibilities. In Como, in particular, between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, silk designers refined these motifs into a subtle art, an artistic heritage that the Decorium line now reimagines in a collection of bed linens of exquisite sophistication.

This heritage finds new expression today in a thoughtful, contemporary interpretation where pattern and colour converse harmoniously with the fabric itself. The Decorium collection opens the realm of rest to distant inspirations, evoking atmospheres rich with charm and memory. The motifs become delicate traces, guiding the eye and mind toward imagined horizons, transforming the bed into an intimate space where one can gently surrender to dreams. A discreet invitation to travel with the imagination, and to dream of the Orient.
